Great Strides for Easton

My cute nephew Easton was born in September and we found out three weeks later that he has Cystic Fibrosis. I have never known a lot about this disease but it has been hard to watch my sis-in-law adjust to taking care of this beautiful baby. In June we will be joining the walk to help in fundraising for finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. More pictures of Emmri....There will probably be a lot of these...I have been stressing because she has not let me take her pictures. She does not like to be naked, so yesterday we went and got this cute diaper cover and today she slept like a champ! Yeah!!! She has been such a good baby so far, only waking up about twice during the night and rarely crying. We hope it lasts, but if not we still love her and wouldn't have it any other way!

I have to start off with this picture...Some might find this crazy, but I find it soooo cute! I never thought I would have my kids around guns but that all changed when Jared became an officer. Yes this is Korbin shooting a gun with his grandpa Joe! He was not scared at all and had so much fun! Bryton did not like it as much. Funny how she is so much like me! (I cannot get this pic to go bigger, sorry!)

A LOT has been going on so I decided it was finally time to blog.
First off our little girl started school! It is crazy to think that just yesterday I was pregnant with her and now she is in kindergarten. People always tell you to enjoy your kids because before you know it they are grown and gone. I am starting to beleive them because time just does not stop! Bryton is loving kindergarten and doing so well. We had to laugh the other night because we asked her if she liked school and she told us that she does but that she gets a little nervous because there are bees outside at recess and she is always scared that they are going to come in her classroom and sting her. That is our worry wart for you!
I took these pictures of her the morning before she left for her first day. I can't believe how grown up she looks!

This little monster is a different story! (I know this picture of him does not really fit being called a monster)He has been giving me a run for my money lately! I always tell Jared I don't know how people have a lot of kids because I am exhausted! Korbin is a MAJOR daddy's boy! Jared has been working a lot lately and so all Korbin does is cry for his dad! Pretty cute, but it gets old after a while! I decided that I was not going to give him naps anymore because he never goes to sleep at night. Wrong idea...after a few days of this he was so tired that all he did was throw fits the whole day. By dinner time I just decided to ignore him and make dinner. He had other ideas, he found himself a nice quite soft spot under the table and went to sleep. So cute.....needless to say we are back to having naps during the day!

My mom left me!!! Gasp! Two months before our baby is due she decides to move out of state! j/k We are really excited for her but it has been a crazy week trying to get things setteled and help her pack all her belongings in one car. I don't think you realize what you have until it is gone....It has been nice to always have a friend in the home when Jared is gone, an on call babysitter, and someone who would go shopping with me whenever I wanted! My poor kids I don't think, realize what has happened. Everytime they hear the washing machine start they run to the garage door thinking that Grandma is home! So sad! We had a little party for her before she left and it was fun to see all the people whose lives she has touched come to say goodbye. She truly is an amazing woman who has braved through so much. We wish her the best! (By the way, I hate pics of me when I am pregnant...yuck!!!)

We went this week and tried out the new splash park in Highland....Before we got there I was already ornrey because me being pregnant and hot do not mix very well, I am trying to deal with it!....The kids had a BLAST though and so in the end it made it all worth it. The water was so nice and cool and the kids just played for hours....free endless hours of fun. We will be taking Dad back to this one for sure!

Korbin would climb to the top of the rocks and then yell "ha ha...can't get me!" and then jump off and run away. Needless to say he fell down MANY times but no matter how he landed or if he got hurt he would keep on smiling and go play some more!

This one is hilarious to me... Bryton HATES water in her face, I am not sure if this was done on purpose or if she just walked up to it at the wrong time, but it didn't seem to bother her much.

Three boy cousins...Korbin is starting to love having boys to run around with and his cousins think its great because he does everything they say...for now!!!

And last but not least is this cute little gal...cousin Addy sure had fun too, she makes me excited to have another girl!

I have not posted forever because I have no pictures....usually I have nothing to say and a ton of pictures, but this time it is the opposite!

First off we found out last week that we will be having another GIRL!!! Yeah, I was shocked, I was sure it was a boy, but we are all so excited! It was so good to see that she is healthy and doing just fine!

We also went on a little much needed vacation last week. Jared had almost a whole week off so we decided to go down to St George and Mesquite. There is not a lot to do in Mesquite but we chose to go there because it is cheap and they have a fun pool with a slide for the kids. Unfornately the first day we were there Korbin decided to poop in the pool (actually on Jared in the pool and then Jared had to wash it off, yuck!) and so they closed the pool for a while. It was so embarassing and since mesquite is not really a kid place it was hard to hide, but oh well...just another thing to cross off of the list of things my kid will NEVER do!!!

We also have finished our yard lately which we have been loving. We have a fire pit and a little bike path for the kids to play on, but the best new addition is our swing set. My moms friend had one that is not being used anyomre and she was sooooo nice to give it to us! I will have to post pictures of the kids on it. We have not even had it up for a day and that is all they have been playing on! It has been good for me because it has given me some time to catch up on some much needed spring cleaning which I missed from being so sick!

All in all we have been busy, but good!!! We love summer, popsicles, swimming at Uncle Jimmies, and roasting smores almost every night...we have even started cooking our dinners in our fire pit (great investment, and good family time) I will post some pics when I stop being lazy about carrying my camera around!!!! Until then...

Oh how I love these kids.... I have been dying to take their pics in this feild for soooo long...sorry, I hope you don't get tired of seeing pics, but I just had to show these.
I was telling Jared that I am worried that when my kids grow up and look back on their pics they will wonder if they ever had fun or got dirty. I hate lugging my huge camera around so it seems like the only time I take pictures is when they are dressed up and posing...I need to be better about that! But for now, I will enjoy these!

So here is our new little one!!! I am finally 12 weeks! This pregnancy has been pretty hard on me. I am not one of those people that love being pregnant! I worry constantly over things that I have no control over! I have been pretty sick for the past month and a half but having an ultrasound today helped a lot, it is always good to see that there is a reason for being so sick. It is crazy to think that your body helps create and grow this tiny baby. And once you have kids it is crazy to see how fast they grow from a tiny baby into a big kid!
Our family is very excited (ecspecially Bryton) to have a new family member!

I can't beleive he is already two!!! So please don't judge my picture...I have wanted to do this forever...Jared made me these letters and I did a not so great job of painting them...oh well. It is the thought and the memory that counts right??

Korbs b-day was a good one. He started it off with his 2yr well check. He is still a small guy, this time none of his stats even made it in the 15%...he'll hit a growth spurt right???

Then we went out to lunch as a family. We went to the Thanksgiving Point Deli since it is close and Korbs likes it...If you have not eaten there you should. We call it Chubbies, don't ask me why..

Then we came home and played and had a doughnut with candles before we went to bed which was about 12:00am for Korbin tonight... I just couldn't fight him on his B-day!

When I think of two years ago when I was holding my newborn in the hospital and wondering what in the world I was going to do with a boy I can't help but think of how our lives would be so empty without him. It is funny to see how each person in your family has such an important role and I am so glad that Korbin is part of this family!!!! Happy Birthday Baby!!

My little guy loves his baths!!! They get a little crazy...and I can never get him out

I always tell him not to drink the dirty bath water....

Now he wishes that he would have listened... Yuck!!!

I also tell him not to shoot water everywhere out of his plastic fishy...

Of course he does it anyway and he always gives me these big smiles that make me let him do whatever he wants to do because he is just TOO CUTE!!!

Maybe it is the fact that he looks so much like his dad that I am so insanely in love with him!!!

Life as the wife of a police officer.....
I am learning to love it....despite the crazy hours and the constant worry I am learning to love the fact that my hubby is happy to go to work!!!
My kids love it too....what kid wouldn't like that their Dad has a car with really cool lights!!!

I can't believe it is already Christmas. Where did this year go?
It seem so easy to get caught up in the stresses all around us! I love Christmas time because it is a time to reflect on the things that matter most!
All around us there is sadness, anger, sickness, temptaions...and the list goes on. No matter what we are going through at this time there is always someone there with us! I am so grateful for our Savior..I know that he knows me, he knows my fears and my sorrows and he also wants me to be happy. That is why he has blessed me with so much!
This year I am going to try to be more like my Savior. I am going to look at things with a positive attitude, be a little kinder and more loving. This is my gift I will give to Him this Christmas!

Last night Jared graduated!!! It was a good end to a long year! I am oh so very proud of this man that I get to call mine!! I am so excited and so nervous for him at the same time! I know that people all over the world have jobs that put them in danger, but I love him too much to think of the bad ever happening to him. This job fits him though. For those of you who know Jared know that he is the kind of person that is always willing to help others no matter the consequences to himself...He is so caring and so concerened for others and their happiness. He will be a wonderful addition to the workforce of wonderful officers that work so hard to keep us all safe.

Jared has been working for our city as an animal control officer and just this week got hired on as a new Patrol Officer! I am so excited for this! It will be good to have him staying close to home!

Thank you to all of our friends and family that have supported all of us through this crazy and stressful time...we are so blessed to be a part of all of your lives. We love you!!!

Here is my little man.....this little guy can make me smile even when he is driving me crazy!!! I have always loved christmas, but since I have had kids it brings a whole new light into the season! We had fun decorating our tree this year and even though Korbin is not suppose to play with the ornaments he sneaks in a few grabs here and there. He mostly likes to hit the balls with his bat and when I tell him no he tries to tell me that they ARE balls! So Cute!

Have not blogged in a while, but that is because I really have nothing to blog about!
We had a great Thanksgiving at our house this year! It is a lot of work and I will now appreciate my mom and mom-in-law for future holidays. We also got to get away for a night up in Park city with my sis-in-law Melissa and her kids. It was fun and way cold!!!

Jared graduates in less then two weeks so we are super excited for that and so proud of him!!! This seven months has gone by sooooo slow, I don't know how you wives do it when your hubbies have to go to school for four years! Yikes!!!

And since I really have no new pics to post I thought I would post these new photos I took of my kiddos. I never tire of taking pics of them so hopefully you don't get tired of looking at them!

So I figured there are not going to be a lot more days that are warm so I decided to take the kids to Gardner's Village. I heard that it is a fun place to go for Halloween because they have witches. They have really cute fake witches and they also are suppose to have real people dressed as witches. Bryton was so excited to go and see the real witches. Unfortunately they did not have any real witches. Finally at the end we found one...Bryton was so excited that she asked to take a picture with her. Oh well it was nice to get out of the house!!!

Korbin liked the little petting zoo that they had there. There was a huge pig named Sally...this thing would have made A LOT of bacon!

Beck and I decided to brave the crowds and the craziness and take the kids to the Scarecrow festival!!! Last year we went it was soooo cold so I bundled us all up in winter clothes and headed off. It ended up being 70 degrees outside and so we were all sweating bullets. The kids look happy in this picture but it didn't last long. We went during Korbin's nap time so he didn't make it very far without the tantrums. Lets just say that next time I will be getting Korbin a babysitter so that he can have his nap and taking Bryton becuase she loved all the big slides and even the haunted house...she was so brave this year!

I can't beleive how time flies...I have said that so much lately, but when I look at Bryton and she is so grown up it has gone so fast. Bryton has had a great and busy birthday. It started last night with cake with family and then today she went to school, picnic with dad at the park, and then off to Hee Haws in PG with family and friends. Thank you Grandma for getting all of us in for free!! Thank you to everyone who came and called to wish Bry a happy b-day it means SOOOO much to her and to our family!

Park time with dad since he had work and school this was his party time with her! Ice cream cupcakes with trick candles!!!!

Yes that is astonishment that she had actually caught the pig!!!

So since Jared has started working for our city as the animal control officer we have had a good number of overnight pets. These are the current ones. Here is my theory. Jared loves animals. I do too, just not in our house. His only hope of having an animal in our house is to try and trick me. Two days ago he brought home a really overweight beagle that howled and whined the whole time we had it. Our neighbor finally came over and told me that if I didn't tell him it had to go she would!!! Bryton loves all of this of course. Since her last kitty ran away she has been looking for a replacement. I think for her, her daddy has the best job ever!!!

They are so cute, but can I really have two cats? How crazy would I be????

So I really don't have anything new to post about....Jared got a new job working for our police department just in our city. It will be so nice to have him closer to home where he can come have lunch with us! It was also weird to think of him not working at his old soft water job. He has worked there since we have been married, but oh well on to new things. Over the years I realized how I am not very good at change!
Bryton has been in preschool now for a month and is loving it! We are the proud parents who get to pick her up and hear her teacher brag about how smart she is and how well she listens and obeys! She is such a beautiful girl inside and out.
Korbin is a typical 18 mo old! Into everything and crazy as ever! We had his checkup this week and he is still in the 7% Jared is really scared that the only trait he got of mine was my height!!! Sorry Korbs, maybe you will hit a growth spurt!
Life is good and we are grateful everyday that we have eachother and all our friends and family!!!

So it has been a while! Our summer has been super crazy as always! We have spent a lot of time playing outside and being together! Jared has finally finished his fist block of school and has had some time off. I am so proud of him for all of his hard work. We have had many long days and late nights be he has passed all of his tests so far and is ready for his next and final block!
Jared and I also celebrated our sixth anniversary last week! We actually got some alone time, and it was much needed! It is crazy to think that it has already been six years, in some ways it seems like just yesterday that we were married, but then also it seems like we have been married forever (in a good way!) I love my husband and my family, even after six years I woud not change any of the decisions that I have made. I know that I am where I am suppose to be doing what I am suppose to do! It is crazy that you can love and care for three people soooo much!!
As far as the kids, Bryton starts preschool down the road next week and is very excited! Korbin is crazy as ever, he has started to talk more and can point to all his body parts and make a lot of animal sounds. My kids are the cutest! I know that I am biased, but I am one lucky mom!

Train Ride to Helper

We also got to ride Grandpa John's train yesterday! We took a 2 1/2 hr ride up to Helper in the Union Pacific passengar train. It was a very pretty ride and the kids did awesome despite our concern....once we got to Helper they had us tour the museum and then gave us a sack lunch to eat in the park. We all then boarded a tourist bus and headed back home! Bryton said her favorite part was when the train would go through the long tunnels and it would be very dark. She said that she was not scared becuase she was four now! Gotta love little Miss Dramatic!

Golfing with Grandpa John

We got to go golfing with Grandpa John this week!! The kids loved it!!! This is the second time that we have gone now and Bryton asks to go everyday! Grandpa John is so patient to let the kids drive the carts around and get out on the greens to hit a few balls. They even got to go fishing for some balls in the lake!!!

Becky had her baby girl today! She was born at around 6:30 pm. She weighed 8lbs 3 oz and is 19 in long. Becky is amazing. She did it all without an epidural!!! Way to go becky, we can't wait to see her!!! (her name is Addyson)

Bella the Kitten

Jared decided to bring us home a new baby kitten! So cute! Bryton wanted to name her Rosabella and so to shorten it up we named her Bella. I think that for Bryton it was love at first sight. Korbin is not too sure. He was really excited at first, but after he picked her up and she scratched him (see the scratches on his right arm?)he is now afraid of her and so when she runs after him he starts screaming and runs aways. Pretty funny!

So does anyone else have a day like this? I had been cleaning all day!!! I worked some energy up to make my kids some dinner that they would eat and I turn around to find Korbin looking like this.....
All you can do at a time like this is laugh, right? I say to myself all the time. It is a good thing you are cute!
What these pictures are missing is the spaghetti all over the floor and walls. (and also my girly Bryton shaking her head at her crazy brother!)
It took me another 30 min just to clean him and his eating area up. A mother's life right!!!

My Beautiful children! What a lucky mom I am!

She is such a good big sister!

This is a perfect picture to show how Korbin feels about grass, he didn't move from this spot for about 15min and kept holding his foot like something was wrong. He was perfectly fine as soon as I picked him up. We hope he grows out of this fear!

I don't know if you can tell, but I had about 4 inches cut off of Bryton's hair today. It was just getting way too long! Jared is a little nervous to come home and see it. I told him that she said she wanted it as short as Mom's.

He's Off! Today is Jared first day at the police academy! We are excited and nervous for him all at the same time. While he was saying goodbye to Bryton she started to cry. He asked her what was the matter and she said, "daddy I am going to miss you." He told her that he was just going to school and that he would be back. Her next question was, " daddy are you going to be tasered?" Our little four year old listens to everything and is always so concerned about her daddy.
I am so proud of my hubby...this is something that he has wanted to do for a long time. We wish him the best of luck and know that he will do GREAT!!!

Bryton played her first soccer game this weekend...It was pretty entertaining. She almost even made a goal (it was in her own goal so luckily someone stopped her) She did a lot of running around and a lot of standing but I think in the end she caught on and she says she had so much fun!!! I guess that is what matters!

We went to San Diego for a whole week. It was so fun!!! We rented a condo on the beach and went to Disneyland, Sea World, a Padres Game and more. We are very tired and glad to be home, but it was fun to get away for awhile!

So I finally gave into the blog thing... I really have not wanted to do it beacause then people will know how boring our lives are. Oh Well!

As for our family...We currently live in Saratoga Springs and love our new home and neighborhood. We have made so many good friends here, we never want to move, which is rare for us! Bryton is four and as sassy as ever, Korbin just turned one and I now know why my sister laughed everytime I gave her funny looks and she would say "I can't wait until you have a boy", she also says it get worse, Yikes! Jared will be starting his police training in May. We will not get to see him a whole lot after that so I am not looking forward to it, but I am trying to be supportive! As for myself..we have just finished our downstairs photo studio and I am excited to get that up and running and to be able to do something that I love so much!
